A four-post lift carries the vehicle on its own wheels. You drive onto two runways and raise it, with no arms to set and no lift points to find. That makes four-post lifts quick to use and very stable, which is why shops choose them for alignments, oil changes and heavier trucks.
They double as parking lifts, too. Raise one vehicle, park a second one underneath, and you've turned one bay into two. That's why hobbyists and collectors love them.
The trade-off is underbody access: the runways sit under the wheels, so jobs that need the wheels hanging free call for a bridge jack or a two-post lift.

Yes. That's one of the main reasons people buy them. Raise one vehicle and park another underneath. Clearance under the runways ranges from 66¼" to 81¼" depending on the model.
The Atlas Apex 9 and Atlas Garage Pro 8000 run on 110V with a 30A breaker, and the Performance Hoist PH8S runs on 110V with a 20A breaker. The commercial models (Atlas Platinum PVL-14, Atlas 414, Atlas 412, Atlas 412A and Atlas Platinum PVL14OF-EXT) run on 220V single phase with a 30A breaker, and most also need an external air supply for the lock release.
