A good motorcycle lift gets the bike up to a comfortable working height. You can service the chain, change tires, swap oil and detail it without kneeling on the garage floor.

Most bike lifts are table-style: you roll the motorcycle onto a platform, secure the front wheel in a vise or chock, and raise it. A drop-out panel at the rear lets you pull the back wheel without taking the bike off the lift.
